RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO CARL HOFFNER
FOR OUTSTANDING PUBLIC SERVICE
AS A MEMBER OF THE UTILITIES ADVISORY COMMISSION
WHEREAS, Carl Hoffner served the City of Palo Alto as a
member of the Utilities Advisory Commission from July 1991 to July
1994; and
WHEREAS, through Carl Hoffner's efforts as an original
member of the Utilities Advisory Commission in conjunction with the
other Commissioners appointed by the Palo Alto City Council, the
Utilities Advisory Commission has become an integral part of the
City government; and
WHEREAS, Commissioner Hoffner served as the Vice Chairman
of the Commission and was instrumental in formatting and editing
the minutes, establishing a prototype for future Commissioners to
follow; and
WHEREAS, Carl Hoffner provided expertise from his
professional background to the Commission; and
WHEREAS, the City of Palo Alto wishes to acknowledge and
thank Carl Hoffner for his personal commitment to the community and
interest in the City of Palo Alto and for his personal efforts and
dedication as a member of the Utilities Advisory Commission.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the
City of Palo Alto hereby gratefully records and extends its sincere
appreciation and the appreciation of the community to Carl Hoffner
for his faithful and excellent service rendered to the City.
