RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
AMENDING THE LAND USE MAP OF THE PALO ALTO
COMPREHENSIVE PLAN FOR CERTAIN PROPERTY KNOWN AS
245 LYTTON AVENUE AND 305-337 EMERSON STREET
(FORMER PENINSULA TIMES TRIBUNE SITE)
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission after duly noticed
public hearing held on September 14, 1994, has recommended that the
City Council amend the Palo Alto Comprehensive Plan; and
WHEREAS, upon consideration cf said recommendation after
duly noticed public hearing, and upon review of the Negative.
Declaration prepared for the project and all other relevant
information, including staff reports, and all testimony, written
and oral, presented on the matter, the City Council desires to
amend said plan as hereinafter set forth;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does
RESOLVE as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council finds that the public
interest, health, safety and welfare require amendments to the Palo
Alto Comprehensive Plan as set forth in Section 2 hereof.
SECTION 2. The City Council hereby amends the Palo
Alto Comprehensive Plan Land Use Map by changing the land use
desiGnation of the land known as 245 Lytton Avenue and 305-337
Emerson Street (former Peninsula Times Tribune Site) from
"Regional/ Community Commercial" to "Multiple -Family Residential,"
as shown on Exhibit "A", attached hereto and incorporated herein by
reference.
SECTION The City Council hereby finds that this
project will have no significant environmental effect.
