RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO THOMAS HISE
FOR OUTSTANDING PUBLIC SERVICE AS A MEMBER OF
THE ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW BOARD
WHEREAS, Thomas Hise served the City of Palo Alto as a
member of the Architectural Review board from October 1991 to
January 1994; and
WHEREAS, Thomas Hise was an active member of the
Architectural Review Board by serving as Vice -Chairman from
October 1992 to October 1993 and as a member -of various committee:-,
including the Design Enhancement Exception (DEE) Committee and the
Planned Development (PD) Committee; and
WHEREAS, Thomas Hise contributed unselfishly his
architectural knowledge, offered his understanding of Palo Alto
issues, shared his optimism on the opportunities for Palo Alto, and
provided expertise in design, construction, and building detailing;
and
WHEREAS, Thomas Hise's significant personal contributions
were made in the interest of guiding the development of the
community while striving to maintain a high degree of design
standards by adhering to the standards for review established in
the Architectural Review Board ordinance; and
WHEREAS, Thomas Hise was instrumental and supportive of
design solutions which took into account both the public perception
of projects and applicant needs; and
WHEREAS, the City of Palo Alto wishes to acknowledge and
thank Thomas Hise for his commitment and pride in the community and
his significant efforts and dedication as a member of the
Architectural Review Board.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the
City of Palo Alto hereby gratefully records and extends its sincere
appreciation and the appreciation of the community to Thomas Hise
for his faithful and excellent service rendered to the City.
