RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
APPROVING A GRANT OF EASEMENT BENEFITTING THE
SANTA CLARA VALLEY WATER DISTRICT
WHEREAS, the Santa Clara Valley Water District ("Distri^.t")
is undertaking flood control work on Matadero and Barron Creeks in
the vicinity of the Barron Park neighborhood, and a new underground
bypass channel is being proposed on a part of the City of Palo
Alto's property in Bol Park; and
WHEREAS, the District wishes to obtain an easement for
water management, storm drajnage, and flood control purposes and
the right to install, operate, maintain, and repair associated
underground improvements at the referenced location;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does
hereby RESOLVE as follows:
SECTION 1. The Council has considered and hereby approves
the negative declaration for the project and finds that the project
will have no significar+t environmental effects.
SECTION 2. The Council hereby approves the Grant of
Basement for Parcel No. CE 21/27-92/8, the legal description of
wh±.ch is attached hereto as Exhibit A and made a part hereof by
this reference, and authorizes the Mayor to execute the same on
behalf of the City of Palo Alto.
