RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO THOMAS LEE OSBORNE
UPON HIS RETIREMENT
WHEREAS, Thomas Lee Osborne has served the City of Palo
Alto for over 38 years as a member of the Recreation staff from
June 1957 to December 1995; and
WHEREAS, Thomas Lee Osborne has served as a Recreation
Supervisor, providing quality recreational and educational programs
to generations of youths and adults at the Lucie Stern Community
Center, Mitchell Park Community Center, Rinconada Pool, and other
public facilities; and
WHEREAS, Thomas Lee Osborne has provided significant
contributions to the community through his supervision of the
Aquatics, Runs, Adult Sports, and Special Events; and
WHEREAS, Thomas Lee Osborne has served as a volunteer in
his community through the American Red Cross and the Ski Patrol;
and
WHEREAS, Thomas Lee Osborne has inspired young people in
Palo Alto to develop their athletic skills and pursue their dreams
both as athletes and well-rounded citizens; and
WHEREAS, the City of Palo Alto wishes to acknowledge and
thank Thomas Lee Osborne for his personal commitment to the
community and for his significant personal efforts and substantial
dedication as a member of the City staff.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of
the City of Palo Alto hereby gratefully records and extends its
sincere appreciation and the appreciation of the community to
Thomas Lee Osborne for his faithful and excellent service rendered
to the City.
