HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESO7554• • RESOLUTION NO. 7554 RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO AMENDING THE PARKING ZONE MAP FOR THE DOWNTOWN DISTRICT OF PALO ALTO, ADOPTED PURSUANT TO RESOLUTION NO. 7413, RELATING TO OFF-STREET ATTENDANT PARKING WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 7413, adopted November 14, 1994, the City Council approved and adopted certain parking restrictions in the Downtown Business District; and WHEREAS, the Council desires to provide an attendant parking operation at Lot "S" and therefore desires to modify the restrictions adopted pursuant to Resolution No. 7413, as hereinafter set forth. NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does RESOLVE as follows: SECTION 1. The parking zone map for the Downtown District of Palo Alto, adopted pursuant to Resolution No. 7413 is hereby amended as follows: (a) The City owned off-street Parking Lot "S", known as the Bryant -Florence lot, more particularly described on Exhibit "A", which is currently designated for 2 -hour restricted parking, is hereby approved as paid attendant parking only, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m, Monday through Friday. At all other times, parking shall be free and unrestricted. (b) Notwithstanding the preceding paragraph (a), the City Manager shall be authorized to designate 10 marked spaces within Parking Lot "S" to be used for permit parking only. Such spaces shall be excluded from the paid attendant parking, and shall be administered in accordance regulations established by the City Manager. (c) The City shall charge a fee for attendant parking in Lot "S", in an amount or amounts established in the Municipal Fee Schedule, as may from time to time be amended. (d) The City Manager shall cause signs to be erected in accordance with this resolution. 1 951113 lac 0031192 • • SECTION 2. It shall be a parking violation to park in Lot "S", except in accordance with the restrictions set forth in this resolution, when signs are posted. SECTION 3. The City Council finds that this project is categorically exempt from the provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act ("CEQA"), in accordance with Section 15301 of the CEQA Guidelines (pertaining to existing facilities). Therefore, no environmental assessment is necessary.
