RESOLUTION.
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO ELLEN FLETCHER
FOR OUTSTANDING PUBLIC SERVICE AS A MEMBER OF THE
DREAM TEAM ADVISORY COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, Ellen Fletcher has unselfishly contributed her
knowledge of place -making, urban form, human movement,
transportation needs, and planning as a public process in improving
the interface area between Stanford University and Downtown Palo
Alto; and
WHEREAS, Ellen Fletcher has provided her knowledge of the
social, economic, and aesthetic conditions affecting this
intermodal transportation area; and
WHEREAS, the City of Palo Alto wishes to acknowledge and
thank Ellen Fletcher for her personal commitment to the community
and interest in developing a vision to transform this piece of land
from a generally inhospitable barrier to an inviting connector
effectively linking the Downtown, Stanford University, Stanford
Shopping Center, and the surrounding residential neighborhoods.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City
of Palo Alto hereby gratefully records and extends its sincere
appreciation and .the appreciation of the community to Ellen
Fletcher for her faithful and excellent service rendered to the
City.
