RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO JIM BALBONI
FOR OUTSTANDING PUBLIC SERVICE AS A MEMBER OF THE
DREAM TEAM ADVISORY COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, Jim Balboni has unselfishly contributed his
knowledge of place -making, urban form, human movement,
transportation needs, and planning as a public process in improving
the interface area between Stanford University and Downtown Palo
Alto; and
WHEREAS, Jim Balboni has provided his knowledge of the
social, economic, and aesthetic conditions affecting this
intermodal transportation area; and
WHEREAS, the City of Palo Alto wishes to acknowledge and
thank Jim Balboni for his personal commitment to the community and
interest in developing a vision to transform this piece of land
from a generally inhospitable barrier to an inviting connector
effectively linking the Downtown, Stanford University, Stanford
Shopping Center, and the surrounding residential neighborhoods.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City
of Palo Alto hereby gratefully records and extends its sincere
appreciation and the appreciation of the community to Jim Balboni
for his faithful and excellent service rendered to the City.
