RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO DON MAYALL
FOR OUTSTANDING PUBLIC SERVICE AS A MEMBER OF THE
MID -PENINSULA ACCESS CORPORATION BOARD OF DIRECTORS
WHEREAS, Don Mayall served as a member of the Mid -
Peninsula Access Corporation (MPAC) Board of Directors between
October 5, 1987, and December 19, 1994; and
WHEREAS, Don Mayall was an invaluable early member of the
Board of Directors in sharing his knowledge of how to start up a
nonprofit organization; and
WHEREAS, Don Mayall served as the Secretary of the Board
of Directors between 1988 and 1991 and as the Treasurer in 1992 and
again in 1994; and
WHEREAS, Don Mayall was an extraordinarily active member
of the Board of Directors, as proven by his selflessness in
providing his expertise and time in working on the Contract Renewal
Committee and his willingness to help out in the office when staff
was shorthanded; and
WHEREAS, Don Mayall went above and beyond the call of
duty and became a volunteer producer at Channel 6, playing a key
role in the formation and ongoing success of "Common Ground," a
show produced every other week at MPAC's studio by the Common
Ground environmental coalition; and
WHEREAS, the City of Palo Alto wishes to recognize these
services of Don Mayall and encourages him to continue to serve the
community in areas where he expresses interest.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the
City of Palo Alto hereby gratefully records its appreciation, as
well as the appreciation of the citizens of the community, for
outstanding public service rendered by Don Mayall.
