RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO TONY CARRASCO
FOR OUTSTANDING PUBLIC SERVICE AS A MEMBER OF THE
PLANNING COMMISSION
WHEREAS, Tony Carrasco served the City of Palo Alto as a
member of the Planning Commission from January 28, 1992, to
July 31, 1996; and
WHEREAS, Tony Carrasco played an active and significant
role on the Planning Commission by providing insightful input and
analysis of special projects such as the Alma Plaza Working Group,
the Dream Team charette and long-term plan, the Form Code
Committee, and the Comprehensive Plan Advisory Committee; and
WHEREAS, Tony Carrasco unselfishly contributed his
architectural, planning, and urban design knowledge; offered his
understanding of Palo Alto issues; shared his optimism on the
opportunities for Palo Alto; and provided expertise in design,
construction, and economics; and
WHEREAS, Tony Carrasco's significant personal
contributions were made in the interest of guiding the development
of the community while striving to maintain a high degree of design
standards; and
WHEREAS, the City of Palo Alto wishes to acknowledge and
thank Tony Carrasco for his personal commitment and pride in the
community, his significant personal efforts and vision, and his
substantial dedication as a member of the Planning Commission.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the
City of Palo Alto hereby gratefully records and extends its sincere
appreciation and the appreciation of the community to Tony Carrasco
for his faithful and excellent service rendered to the City.
