RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO DEDICATE THE WILLIAMS
PROPERTY LOCATE) AT 351 HOMER AVENUE, AS PARKLAND,
UPON EXECUTION OF A LEASE WITH THE MUSEUM OF
AMERICAN HERITAGE
WHEREAS, the County of Santa Clara acting by and through
the County Historical Heritage Commission and Board of Supervisors
intends to approve an expenditure of $40,000 in the form of a grant
to assist the City of Palo and the Museum of American Heritage with
the restoration of the Williams House; and
WHEREAS, the County's grant is expressly conditioned upon
the City of Palo Alto dedicating the Williams Property as parkland
and execution of a historical project agreement between the County,
the City and Museum of American Heritage; and
WHEREAS, the County grant must be expended by April 25,
1997; and
WHEREAS, the County grant is expressly conditioned upon the
project being accessible by all members of the public for park
purposes.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does
RESOLVE as follows:
SECTION 1. The Council hereby expresses its intention to
take all actions necessary to effect dedication as parkland of the
Williams Property located at 351 Homer Avenue, upon execution of a
lease for the Williams Property by and between the City of Palo
Alto and the Museum of American Heritage and execution of a
historical project agreement between the County, the City and
Museum of American Heritage for the Williams House Restoration.

SEQTION 2. The City Council finds that this resolution
does not constitute a projecc under the California Environmental
Quality Act because it can be seen with certainty that it will have
no significant effect on the environment.
