RESOLUTION NO. 7670
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF MASTER
AGREEMENT FOR FEDERAL -AID PROJECTS
WHEREAS, On April 10, 1978, the City and the California
Department of Transportation (Caltrans) entered into a Master
Agreement setting up the general terms and conditions for approval
and funding of Federal -Aid Projects; and
WHEREAS, Caltrans has developed an updated Master Agreement
to reflect new provisions of the Intermodal Surface Transportation
Efficiency Act of 1991 (ISTEA), and is requiring local agencies
that may propose federal -aid projects to execute the updated Master
Agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does
RESOLVE as follows:
SECTION 1. That certain agreement entitled "Master
Agreement --Administering Agency -State Agreement for Federal -Aid
Projects" by and between the City of Palo Alto and Caltrans, a copy
of which agreement is on file in the office of the Chief
Transportation Official and to which agreement reference is hereby
made for the full particulars thereof, is hereby approved; and the
Mayor is hereby authorized to execute said agreement on behalf of
the City of Palo Alto.
SECTION 2. The Council finds that this is not a project
under the California Environmental Quality Act.
