RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO TRINA LOVERCHECK
FOR OUTSTANDING PUBLIC SERVICE AS A MEMBER OF THE
HUMAN RELATIONS COMMISSION
WHEREAS, Trina Lovercheck served the City of Palo Alto
with distinction as a member of the Human Relations Commission for
nine years from March 1988 through March 1997; and
WHEREAS, Trina Lovercheck served as Chairperson of the
Commission from April 1991 to April 1993; and
WHEREAS, Trina Lovercheck served diligently in many
capacities during her nine-year tenure, especially in her roles as
liaison to the Mediation Task Force and liaison to the Disability
Awareness Task Force; and
WHEREAS, Trina Lovercheck particularly contributed to
many problem -solving endeavors around the issues of homelessness
and poverty; and
WHEREAS, Trina Lovercheck maintained a strong commitment
to positioning community counselors in the area middle and high
schools, and that program's success today is testimony to her
unwavering advocacy.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the
City of Palo Alto hereby gratefully records and extends its sincere
appreciation and the appreciation of the community to Trina
Lovercheck for her faithful and excellent service rendered to the
City.
