RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO TINA GUTIERREZ
FOR OUTSTANDING PUBLIC SERVICE AS A MEMBER OF THE
HUMAN RELATIONS COMMISSION
WHEREAS, Tina Gutierrez served the City of Palo Alto with
distinction as a member of the Human Relations Commission from
April 1994 through December 1996; and
WHEREAS, Tina Gutierrez willingly gave of her time and
talents in support of the City of Palo Alto Human Relations
Commission; and
WHEREAS, Tina Gutierrez served as Chairperson of the
Commission from April 1996 to December 1996 and diligently provided
support to tenants in the community facing increased rental rates
by serving on the Mayor's Committee on Escalating Rents; and
WHEREAS, Tina Gutierrez contributed major efforts toward
raising the community's understanding around the issues of poverty,
increasing diversity, and furthering minority empowerment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the
City of Palo Alto hereby gratefully records and extends its sincere
appreciation and the appreciation of the community to Tina
Gutierrez for her faithful and excellent service rendered to the
City.
