RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO HENRIETTA BURROUGHS
FOR OUTSTANDING PUBLIC SERVICE AS A MEMBER OF THE
HUMAN RELATIONS COMMISSION
WHEREAS, Henrietta Burroughs served the City of Palo Alto
with distinction as a member of the Human Relations Commission from
April 1991 through March 1997; and
WHEREAS, Henrietta Burroughs served as Chairperson of the
Commission from April 1993 to April 1994 and diligently provided
human relations outreach and education in her role as moderator of
a local biweekly television broadcast; and
WHEREAS, Henrietta Burroughs provided quality service in
her various Commission assignments, such as her liaison roles with
the Police Department, Positive Alternatives for Youth Committee,
and the Youth Council; and
WHEREAS, Henrietta Burroughs provided strong advocacy
skills during her tenure on behalf of the poor and disenfranchised.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the
City of Palo Alto hereby gratefully records and extends its sincere
appreciation and the appreciation of the community to Henrietta
Burroughs for her faithful and excellent service rendered to the
City.
