RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO
ALTO AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO APPLY TO
THE SANTA CLARA VALLEY TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY
FOR FUNDS TO OFFSET THE CONSTRUCTION COST OF NEW
ALTERNATIVE-FUELS FUELING INFRASTRUCTURE
WHEREAS, the City of Palo Alto is a supporter of clean air
and wishes to take action to enhance air quality in the San Francisco
Bay Area; and
WHEREAS, the City of Palo Alto intends to submit a funding
application to the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority for
funding to offset the construction cost of new alternative-fuels
fueling infrastructure.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does
RESOLVE as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Manager or his or her designee is
authorized to execute and submit a funding agreement with the Santa
Clara Valley Transportation Authority for the purpose of offsetting
the construction cost of new alternative-fuels fueling infrastructure
if said application is approved by . the Santa Clara Valley
Transportation Authority District Board of Directors.
SECTION 2. The Council finds that this is not a project
under the California Environmental Quality Act and, ·therefore, no
environmental impact assessment is necessary.
