RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PALO ALTO ORDERING WEED NUISANCE ABATED
WHEREAS, this Council did on November 13, 2000, adopt
its Resolution No. 8012 declaring weeds to be a nuisance and
setting December 11, 2000, at 7:00 p.m., in the Civic Center as
the time and place for a hearing of objections to the proposed
destruction or removal of weeds; and

WHER~AS, no interested persons appeared or filed written
objections against said proceedings or any part thereof, 1

abatement were fully heard and considered by this Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto
does RESOLVE as follows:
ION 1. Any and all objections to the proposed
destruct or removal· of such weeds be, and each of them hereby
is, overruled.
SECTION 2. The Fire Chief hereby is ordered to abate
such nuisance, or cause the same to be abated by contract with
the County of Santa Clara, and as provided in Chapter 8. 08
the Palo Alto Municipal Code, and to do all things necessary and
authorized said chapter.
