RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO PAUL JOHNSTON FOR
OUTSTANDING SERVICE AS A MEMBER OF THE
UTILITIES ADVISORY COMMISSION
WHEREAS, Paul Johnston was a member of the Utilities
Advisory Commission from July 1994 through June 2000; and
WHEREAS, Paul Johnston served as the Vice-Chairman of the
Utilities Advisory Commission from July 1994 to June 1995; and
WHEREAS, Paul Johnston served as the Chairman of the
Utilities Advisory Commission from July 1995 through June 1997;
and
WHEREAS, Paul Johnston also served a second term as Vice-
Chairman and then became Acting Chairman upon the resignation of
the Chair due to illness; and
WHEREAS, Paul Johnston gave unselfishly of his time and
talents to lead the Utilities Advisory Commission; and
WHEREAS, Paul Johnston provided guidance and expertise from
his professional background to the Utilities Advisory
Commission; and
WHEREAS, the City of Palo Alto wishes to acknowledge and
thank Paul Johnston for his personal commitment to the community
and interest in the. City of Palo Alto and for his personal
efforts and dedication as a member of the Utili ties Advisory
Commission.
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED that the Council of the
City of Palo Alto hereby gratefully records and extends its
sincere appreciation and the appreciation of the community to
Paul Johnston for his faithful and excellent services rendered
to the City.
