RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO GARY WEINREICH
UPON HIS RETIREMENT
WHEREAS Gary Weinreich has served the City of Palo Alto from February 21, 1978,
to June 19,2009, as Engineer for the Public Works Department; and
WHEREAS Gary Weinreich has enhanced the quality of life for the citizens of this
community by managing capital improvement projects; reviewing private development
projects for grading, drainage and flood zone issues; and issuing permits for work performed
in the public right-of-way; and
WHEREAS Gary Weinreich has provided his expertise and guidance to the developers
and citizens of Palo Alto, as well as to his fellow employees, in a careful, courteous and
professional manner; and
WHEREAS, the City of Palo Alto desires to recognize the meritorious service of Gary
Weinreich.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Palo Alto
hereby commends the outstanding public service of Gary Weinreich and records its
appreciation as well as the appreciation of the citizens of this community for the service and
contribution rendered during his 31 years of employment with the City.
