RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO MARY PAYTON MINKUS
FOR OUTSTANDING PUBLIC SERVICE AS A MEMBER OF
THE PALO ALTO HUMAN RELATIONS COMMISSION
WHEREAS, Mary Payton Minkus has served the City of Palo Alto as
a member of the Palo Al to Human Relations Commission from September,
1983 to March, 1988: and
WHEREAS, Mary Payton Minkus has been an active member and past
chairperson of the Human Relations Commission; and
WHEREAS, Mary Payton Minkus has unselfishly contributed her
time, energy and knowledge to issues affecting the quality of life of
residents of Palo Alto, created counseling programs for the youth in
our community, elicited significant contributions from her fellow
Commissioners, and devoted many of her talents to issues affecting
Palo Alto residents with disabilities: and
WHEREAS, the City of Palo Al to wishes to acknowledge and thank
Mary Payton Minkus for her personal commitment to the community and
for her efforts and substantial dedication as a member of this
Commission.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of
Pa lo Al to hereby gratefully records and extends its sincere appre-
c ia ti on and the appreciation of th.! co11muni ty to Mary Payton Mink us
for her faithful and excellent service rendered to the City.
