RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO DOUGLAS 8. AIKINS
FOR OUTSTANDING PUBLIC SERVICE AS A MEMBER OF
ORiGfNAL
THE AD HOC COMMilTEE ON SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENCE ZONING AND DESIGN
WHEREAS, Douglas B. Aikins has served the City of Palo Alto as
a member of the Ad Hoc Connittee on Single-Family Residence Zoning and Design
from July 20, 1987 to April 4t 1988;
NHEREAS, Douglas B. Aikins has been an active member of the •R-1 Ad
Hoc• Connittee;
WHEREAS, Douglas B. Aikins has unselfishly contributed his legal
expei·t i se, offered his exper1 ence 1 n drafting and enfori.:.; n~ 1ttuni ci pa 1
regulations, shared his optimism on the future of Palo Alto's single-family
neighborhoods, and fully participated in the significant contributions cf the
Comittee;
WHEREAS, the City of Palo Alto wishes to acknowledge and thank
Douglas B. Aikins for his personal c0111Aitment to the conn.unity and interest in the single-family neighborhoods and for his personal efforts and substantial
dedication as a member of this CORRittee; and
NOii, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED that the Council of the City of
Palc1 Alto hereby gratefully records and extends its sincere appreciation and
the appreciation of the c011111Unity to Douglas B. Aikins for his faithful and
excellent service rendered to the City.
