RESOLUTION OF THB COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO AMENDING THE·>~~
PALO ALTO COMPREHENSIVE PLAN uY CHANGING THE LAND USE DESIGNATION~~,,
OF THE PROPERTY KNOWN AS ARASTRADERO PRESERVE FROM OPEN SPACE ••• -,,<.,
CONTROLLED DEVELOPMENT TO PUBLICLY OWNED CONSERVATION L\ND
WHEREAS, the Planning Commisssion has conducted a review and
Qn September 9, 1987, held a properly-noticed public hearing to
consider amendment to the Palo Alto Comprehensive Plar; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of thF City of Palo Alto on
September 14, 1987, held a properly noticed public hearing to
consider amendment to the Palo Alto Comprehensive Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does
RESOLVE as follows:
SECTION 1. The Council finds that changed conditions and
the p~blic interest, health, safety, and welfare require amendment
to the Palo Alto Comprehensive Plan as set forth in section 2
hereof.
SECTION 2. The Council hereby amends the Palo Alto
Comprehensive Plan as Coliows:
Land Use Plan Map:
a. Change the land use designation of the property
known as Arastradero Preserve from Open Space •••
Controlled Development to Publicly owned
Conservation Land, shown on a map attached hereto
as Exhibit A and incorporated herein by this
reference.
SECTION 3. The Council hereby finds that the adoption of
this resolution will not cause any significant environmental
impact, as reflected in the negative declaration approved for the
Arastradero Preserve Master Plan on July ~3, 1984.
