RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCI~ OF TBE CITY OF PALO ALTO APPROVING THE
REVISION OF THE PALO ALTO EMERGENCY PLAN
WHEREAS, the City of Palo Alto is a chartered municipal
corporation of the State of california1 and
WHEREAS, under section 2.12.080 of the Palo Alto Municipal
Code, no emergency plan shall take effect, unless it is approved
and adopted by the Council of the City of Palo Alto and,
WHEREAS, the 1987 Revision of the Palo Alto Emergency Plan
incorporates new e•ergency plan developments, ccnfor•s to current
state and national requirements, and provides for greater
coordination a110ng regional public entities, and thereby enhances
the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of the City of Palo
Alto,
NON, THEREPORE, be it RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
Palo Alto as follows:
SECTIOll 1: Th~ Council of the City of Palo Alto hereby
adopts the June 1987 version of the City of Palo Alto E9tergency
Plan, a copy which is attached hereto and incorporated herein as
BXBIBIT •a•. 'l'his 1987 version of the City of Palo emergency plan
supercedes any and all previous City of Palo Alto E11ergency Plans,
which are, ther£by, of no further effect~
SP.CTION 2: "nle Council finds that this i:; not a project
under-ttie'-california Environmental Quality Act and, therefore, no
environ11ental impact assessment is necessary.
