REPRESENTATIVES OF ENSCHIDE, 1liE NE'IHERLANDS
WHEREAS, cultural exchange resulting from people-to-people ooam..tnication is the
foundation of the Sister City Program which ::n:tempts to further international under-
standing; and
WHEREAS, the City of Enschede is Palo Alto's Sister City in The Netherlan::is at'Xf
has honored Palo Alto ~ sending its representatives to visit this city; and
WHEREJ~, the City of Palo Alto wishes to welcome Martijn Wildeboer, Violet van
Heek, Martijn Hohmann, Astrid van Ardenne, Diederik van _zuylen, Eugenie Winkelman,
Marloes OUde Bos, and Michiel van Ardenne; and
WHEREAS, participation in this cultural exchange exenplifies the nutual obj(A..-
tives of the two cities, namely, to prom:>te, encourage arx:1 cultivate urderstanding
between the people of Enschede and Palo Alto1 and
WHmEAS, the opportunity to welcoae the Enschede visitors to Palo Alto has proven
to be nutually beneficial.
