RESOLUTION NO. 6612 RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO APPROVING AN APPLICATION TO THE UNITED Sf ATES DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT FOR RENTAL REBABILITATION PROGRAM GRANT FUNDS WHEREAS, the U.S. Depa~tment of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has issued a Notice of Funding Availability for its Rental Rehabilitation Progra~ for fiscal year 1987: and WHEREAS, pursuant to section 17 of the United Stotes Housing Act of 1937, 42.u.s.c. 14370, BUD is authorized to provid~ funds for the rehabilitation of housing1 and WHEREAS, the City of Palo Alto is a local public entity organized under the laws of the State of California and is eligible ~o participate in the Rental Rehabilitation Prograno and WHEREAS, the City of the Palo Alto desires to apply and, if accepted, will administer the $55,000 allocation amount in accordance with the Federal require•ents. NaN, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto rloes RE~OLVE as follows: SECTION 1. The Council authorizes the City Manager or his designee to a._ -·1 v and, if accepted, to administer the Rental Rehabilitation Program. SECTION 2. The Council further authorizes the City Man4ger or his designee to administer and package individual grant applications for the new Rental Rehabili~~tion Grant Fundg. SECTIOH 3. Council hereby certifies that all the uses of these Grant Funds will be in compliance with the Rental R~habilitation Program rules and regulations, 24 CFR, Part 511. ·-,. .. SECTION 4. Council finds that this is not a project under the california Environmental Quality Act, and therefore, no environmental impact assessment is necessary.
