RESOLUTION NO.ni\586 RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF CITY OF PALO ALTO
ORDERING WEfD NUISANCE ABATED
WHEREAS, this Council did on December 22, 1986, adopt its
Resolution No. 6579 declaring weeds to be a nuisance and setting
January 12, 1987, at 7:30 P .. M., iri the Civic Center as the time
and place for a hearing of objections to the proposed 1estructior.
or removal of weeds1 and
W3EREAS, in accordance with said Resolution No. 6579, notic~
of such hearing was given in the manner provided by law, as
appears from the affidavits on file in the Office of the City
Clerk1 and
WHEREAS, no interested persons appeared or filed
written objections against said proceedings or any part chereot:,
all persons desiring to bii heard were given an opportunity to be
heard, and all aatters and thlngs pertaining to said weed
abat11t11ent we,t:e fully heard l'!nd considered by this C'.lunciJ 1
NOW, THEREFORE, the council of the City of Palo Alto does
RESOLVE as follows:
SECTION l. Any and all objections to the proposed ~estructlon or removal of such weeds be, and each of them hereby
is, overruled.
SECTION 2, The Director of Public works hereby is ordered to
abate such-riiilsance, or cause the same to be abated by means of
Contract No. 3820 for that purpose with the county ~f santa Clara,
and as provided in Chapter 8.08 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code,
and to do a~l things nece~s~ry and authorized :n said chapter.
SECTION l. The Council of the City of Palo Alto finds t.bat
none ~f the provisions of this resolution will have a significant
adverse environmental impact.
