OF THE COUNCIL OF ·rHE CITY OF PALO
EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO
VICTOR J0SEPH WILLIAMS
UPON HIS RETIREMENT
WHEREAS, Victor Joseph Williams has served the City of Palo Alto
from January 8, 1959 through December 26, 1986, as Fire Fighter and
Fire Apparatus Operator ira the Palo Alto Fire Departmer.t1 and
WHEREAS, Victor Joseph williams has pu~sued his duties for
safety of ou:o: citizens with enthusiasm, thoroughness, common sense,
fairness, compassion, a~d courtesyi and
wHEREAS, Victor Joseph William~ h•s taken an active part in Fire
Department progra~s such as fira suppression and fire prevention: and
WHEREAS, through the efforts and contributions of Victor Joseph
Williams, the City ~ontinues to occupy a position of respect in terms
of emergency services provided to its citizens by the City Fire
Department; and
WHEllEAS, the City of Palo Alto desires to recognize the meri-
torious. service of Victor Joseph Willinms.
NOW, THEREFO~E, BE IT RESOLVED, lhat the Council of the City of
Palo Alto hereby commends the outstandiulJ public service of Victor
Joseph Williams and records its appreci.'!ticn as well as the apprecia-
tion of the citizens of this community for tha service and the contri-
bution renderecl during his 26 years of employment with tlle City.
