RESOLUTION NO. 6546
R~SOLUTION Of THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
ORDERING WEED NUISANCE ABATED
W~EREAS, this Council did on July 21! 1986, adopt its Resolution
No. 6541 declaring weeds to be a nuisanc~ and setting August 11, 1986,
at 7:30 P.M., in the Civic Center as the time and place for a hearin9
of objections to the proposed destruction or removal of weeds; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with said Resolution No. 6541, notice of
su~h hearing was given in the mann@r provided by law, as appears from
th~ affidavits on file in the Office of the City Clerk: and
WHEREAS, interested persons appeared or filed written
objections against said proceedings or any part thereof, all persons
desiring to be heard were given an opportunity to be heard, and all
matters and things pertaining to said weed abatement were fully heard
and considered by this Council1
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does RESOLVE
as follows:
SECTION 1. Any and all objections to the proposed destruction or
removal of such weeds be, and each of them hereby is, overruled.
SECTION 2. The Director of Public Works hereby is ordered to
abate such nuisance, or cause the same to be abated by means of Con-
tract No. 3820 for that purpose with the County of Santa Clara, and as
provided in Chapter 8.08 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code, and to do all
things necessary and authorized in said chapter.
SECTION 3. The Council of the City of Palo Alto finds that none
of the provisions of this resolution will have a significant adverse
environmental impact.
