RESOLUTION NO. 6544
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF UTILITIES TO EXECUTE A
LETTER OF AGREEMENT WITH TB! AMERICAN PUBLIC POWER
ASSOCIATION
WHEREAS, the City of Palo Alto has been awarded funding from the
American Public Pover Association regarding the •powerManager• software
package being develoP1!(3 by the American Public Power Association1 and
WHEREAS, the City of Palo Alto will provide status reports to the
American Public Power Association on the progress of the test on a bi-
weekly basis; and
WHEREAS, the City of Palo Alto site test findings will be reported
to the American Public Power Association on a weekly basis~ and
WHEREAS, the City of Palo Alto, upon comp!etion of testing of each
application, default test data will be provided to th& American Public
Power Association in paper and diskette format1
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does RESOLVE
as follows:
SECTION 1. The Director of Utilities is authorized to sign the
attached letter agree:ment between the City of Palo ,,1 to and the
American Public Power Association which allows the City to accept
$12,000 in support funds in return for services regarding the American
Public Power Association's •powerManager• software package.
SECTION 2. The Council finds that this project is categorically
exempt for purposes of the California Environmental Quality Act and no
environmental assessment is necessary.
