RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF .•• '• ·~ ~ •:.
PALO ALTO AUTHORIZING CITY MANAGER TO
MAKE REIMBURSEMENT FOR A JOINT STUDY
WHEREAS, the Ci ties of Santa Clara and Alameda are studying the
feasibility of a direct service electric transmission connection to the
Western Area Power Administration System; and
WHEREAS, said Cities have invited the City of Palo Alto to join
them7
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does hereby
RESOLVE as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Manager of the City of Palo Alto, or his
designated representative is hereby authorized to reimburse the City of
Santa Clara for one third (1/3) the cost of consultant fees for inves-
tigation cf the feasibility of a direct service connection to the
Western Area Power Administration which would include the City of Palo
Alto, in a sum not to exceed Eighteen Thousand Dollars ($18,000.00).
SECTION 25 'I'he Council finds that this project is exempt from the
requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act and does not
requir& an environmental assessment.
