EXPRESSING A PPR EC IA TION TO
J"4ES ABLER
UPON HIS RETIREMENT
WHEREAS, Jaaes Ab 1 er has served the City of Palo Alto frillt May 21, 1956 through
Hay 9. 1986 as an Engineering Assistant, Engineering Technician, and SUpervisior of
Engineering Services 1n the Public Works Department; and
WHEREAS, James Ab 1 er has pursued his tee hn ic al di.ft 1 es with enthusiasm,
thoroughness, dependability and extreme cooperativeness; and
WHEREAS, James Abler has played a significant part in the successful Mmi!'iS-
tration of the ~bdfvfsfon Map Act, and tt'e City's AssesS11ent Di strict process; and
WHEREAS, through the ef':"orts of Jatlles Abler the City has an efficient street
opening and encroactaent pemit ~.-ocess; and
WHEREAS, the City of "'alo Alto desires to recognize tte 111eritorius service of
Jaaes Abler.
NOW, Ttt:REF~E,~BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of t~ City of Palo Alto h!reby
COIBl!!lends the outstanding public service of JaMes Abler and records its apprec1at1on as
well as the appreciation of the citizens of this com11tmity for tl'e servke and
contribution rendered during his 30,years of etttplo)'Elent with the City.
