EXPRESSING APPKC:t-4ATIOi4 TO
VICTOR FERDINAND NELSON
UPON HIS RETI!tEMENT
WHEREAS. Victor Ferd in and Nelson has served the City of Palo Al to frcm July 22,
1958 through April 5, 1986, as Firefighter, Apparatus Operator, and Fire captain in the
Pa'I o Alto Fi re Department; and
WHERE~S, Victor Ferd in and Nelson has pursued his duties for the safety of our
citizens with enthusiasm, thoroughness, COllUllon sense, fairness, compassion, and
courtesy; and
WHEREAS, Victor Ferdinand Nelson has taken an active part in Fire Departrrrant
prograRs such as fire suppression, fire training, fire prevention; and
WHEREAS, through the efforts and contributions of Victor Ferdinand Nelson, the
City continues to occupy a position or respect in terms of emergency services provided
to it~ citizens by the City Fire Departlnent; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to recognize the meritorious service of Victor
Ferdinand Nelson ..

commends tile outstanding public service of Victor Ferdinand ftel son and records its
appreciation as •11 as the appreciation of the citizens of this ca.wi1ty for the
