RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO ORDERING
THE StltMARY VACATION OF A PUBLIC SERVICE EASEMENT FOR UTILITIES
at 2301 and 2317 WILLIAMS AVENUE
WHEREAS, an e1se11ent for sto1"'1! sewer pipe and appurtenances has not been utilized by
the City within the last f1Ye years and will not be required by the Cf ty in the
future;
WHEREAS, ft ts the fntent of the Council of the Cfty of Palo Alto to vacate 1 10-foot
public service easuent for uttlf ties (creeted by doc.mnt recorded 1n Book 567 of
official records, page 492) in tile City of Palo Alt->. County of Slnta Clara. State of
Cllffornfa;
NHEREU. the Council of the City of Palo Alto intends to vacate such public service
ease•nt according to the procedures set forth in California Streets and Highways
Code Division 9, Part 3. Chapter 4 (Sectton 18330 et seq.);

present or prospective public use for public utf lfty purposes;
NOW, THEREFORE. the Council of the City of Palo Alto does RESOLVE as follows:
SECTION 1. This vacation fs •de under the authority of CAl ffornta Streets and Hfg&fiys Code Chapter 4 of Part 3 of Ofvfsfon 9 of talffornfa Code c01a1encing at
18330 et seq.
SECTION 2. The public service e1set1ent to be vacated is MOre particularly described

SECTION 3: The Council finds that this project fs categorically ex•mpt from the

fapaet assessment f s necessary.
SECTION 4: The Ctty Clerk, acting through the Manager, Real Pt'opert1 shill cause
a cert1fTed copy of thf s resolution attested by the Cfty Clerk under seal to be
recorded f n the office of the County Recorder of Santa Clara.
SECTION 5: From and after the date of recordation of this resolution. said
etsement shall be considered vacated.
