RESOLUTION NO. 6499 RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO AMENDING UTILITY RATE SCHEDULES G-1 AND G-50 AS A RESULT OF TRACKING PG&E GAS RATE CHANGES WHEREAS, the City Council has previously adopted Resolution No. 6453, which authorizes the City Manager to implement nondiscretionary adjustments to Palo Alto gas rates to reflect gas rate increases and to track Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E) retail rate schedules G-1, G-2, and G-50; and WHEREAS, effective January 1, 1986, a rate change was granted PG&E resulting in adjustments to its retail and wholesale rate schedules; and WHEREAS, the City Manager automatically adjusted revenues to match these rate changes and in accordance with Resolution No. 6453 has notified this Council of his ministerial action1 NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does RESOLVE as follows: SECTION 1. This Council finds that the action taken by the City Manager is in accordance with the prov is ions of Resolution No. 6453 that the Palo Alto Gas Rat·~ Schedules G-1 and G-50 shall substantially conform with those rates contained on PG&E General Service Rate Schedules G-1, G-2, and G-50: that the effective dates are identical to the dates of the rate changes1 and that in all respects such nondiscretionary adjustments are approved. SECTION 2. This Council finds that the revenue derived from the authorized adjustments of said gas rates by the City Manager shall be used only for the purposes set forth in the Palo Alto City Charter, Article VII, Section 2, entitled •Public Utilities Revenue.• The adoption of this resolution is, therefore, specifi- cally exempted under the Public Resources Code Section 21080(b)(8) from the requirements of CEQA. SECTION 3. Pursuant to Section 12.20.010 of the Petlo Alto Municipal Code, Schedules G-1 and G-50 of the Palo Alto Utilities Rates and charges are amended to read as shown on Sheet Nos. G-1-1 and G-50-1 dated January 1, 1986 attached hereto and incorporated herein.
