A RESOLUTION FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT
THE PUBLIC CONVENIENCE ANO NECESSITY REQUIRE
PROPOSED ACQUISITIONS AND IMPROVEMENTS
CALIFORNIA AVENUE PARKING ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 86-1
The C1ty Council of the City of Palo Alto, does RESOLVE as follows:
Section l. On the 20th day of January, 1986, said Council, 1n
accordance with ttnd pursuant to the Municipal Improvement Act of 1913 and
Section 19 of Article XVI of the State Constitution, and Section 13.12.010,
13.12.040 and 13.12.050 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code, adopted its
Resolution No. 6485, A Resolution of Preliminary Determination and of ..
Ir.tent1on, wherein it did preliminarily determine that the publfc
convenience and necessity require certain acquisitions and improvements
therein describ@d 1n general tenns;
Section 2. Mondayt the 24th day of February, 1986, at the hour of 7:30
o'clock p.m., in the regular meeting place of this Council, were appointed
as the time and place when and where any and all persons interested could
appear and show cause why th1s Council should not find and determine that
the public convenience and necessity require the proposed acquisitions and
improvements without compltance with Section 2800 and following of the
Streets and Highways Code, notices of which hearing were duly and regularly
posted¥imailed and published; and
Section 3. Said hearing was du'1y and regularly held, all persons
interested desiring to be heard were given an opportunity to be heard,
documentary and oral testimony on the question of public convenience and
necessity were duly introduced and fully heard and considered by this
Council. and all matters and things perta1ning to said question of public
convenience and necessity were submitted and fu1ly considered by this
Council;
Section 4. The public convenience and necessity require the proposed
acquisitions and improvements as generally described in sa1d Resolution of
Preliminary Determination and of Intention, and that Section 2800 and
following of the Streets and Highways Code shall not apply.
The foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted at a regular
meeting of the Council of the City of Paio Alto held on the 24 day of
February , 1986: by the following vote:
AYES: Bechtel, CObb~ Fletcher, Klein, Levy, Patitucci, Renzel, Sutorius, Woolley
