RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CI'~;y OF PALO ALTO
EXTENDING THE TEMPORARY NON-PARK USE OF THE DEDI-
CATED 0.956 ACRE PARCEL ON THE ARASTRADERO PRESERVE
FOR UP TO ONE YEAR
WHEREAS' on October 5 I 1981,
No. 3305 dedicating 432.781 acres

house on a 0.956 acre parcel; and

for park purposes including a
WHEREAS, said ordinance permits temporary residential non-
park purposes on the 0.956 acre portion on an annual basis through
November 5, 1986~ and
WHEREAS, on November 5, 1984, the Council adopted Resolution
No. 6328 which extended residential use of the house through
February 13, i986; and
WHEREAS, negotiations with the American Youth Hostel Org.,.~·d
zation for their possible use of the house have not been completed
and therefore, no final decision has been reached about the ulti-
mate use of the residence: and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City to extend
the non-park use until November 5, 1986 pending resoluti.on of
negotiations with the American Youth Hostel Organization.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does
RESOLVE as follows:
SECTION ly The Council does hereby extend the temporary non-
park use for that portion of the Arastradero Preserve described in
Exhibit A, attached hereto and incorporated herein, until November
5, 1986.
SECTION 2. The house located on said parcel shall be used
only for temporary residentiai use and any such continued use
beyond November Sf 1986 shall not be permitted.
SECTION 3. The Council finds that the project is categori-
cally exempt from the requirements of the California Environmental
Quality Act and no environmental assessment is necessary.
