EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO
RICHARD J. WILKERSON
UPON HIS RETIREMENT
ORIGINAL
WHEREAS, Richard J. Wilkerson has served the City of Palo Alto from August 1,
1963 through November 22, 198!>, as Firefighter in the Palo Alto Fire Department; and
WHEREAS,
citizens with
courtesy; and
Richard J. Wilkerson has pursued his duties for the s;ifety of our
enthusiasm, thoroughness. common sense, fairness, compassion •. and
WHEHEAS, Richard J. Wil k.erson has taken an active part in Fire Department . prograws such a:; fire suppression, fire training, fire prevention; and
WHEREAS, through the efforts and contributions of Richard J. Wilkerson, the City
continues to occupy a position of respect in terms of emergency services provided to
its citizens by the City Fire Department; and
WHEREAS, the City of Palo Alto desires to recognize the meritorius service of
Rich~rd J. Wilkerson.
NOW, THEREFORE. SE IT RESOLVED that the Counci1 of the City of Palo Alto hereby
commends the outstandiny public service of Richard J. Wilkerson and records its
appreciation as wel I as the appreciation of the citizens of this conmunity for the
service and ccntribut ion rendered during the 22 years of employment as a firefighter to
tne Stanford/Palo Alto community.
