RESOLUTION NO. 6472
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
ACCEPTING WORKS OF ART FROM KEITH BOYLE
WHEREAS, the (:ity of Palo Alto has long recogni:ted the impor-
tance of visual art in our community; and
WHEREAS, the City of Palo Alto established an Art in Public
Places Program in 1977; and
WHEREAS, the Visual Arts Jury of the City of Palo Al to in
support of the Art in Public Places Program has embarked on a
campaign to seek contributions of art by artists who have either
lived or worked in the City of Palo Alto; and
WHEREAS, contributions to the Art in Public Places Acquisi-
tion Program has resulted in 26 new works of art; and
WHEREAS, the artist, Keith Boyle, made contributions of his
works entitled •Noon 1970• (two color lithograph) and •At the Top
1910• (black and white lithograph) to the City's Permanent Collec-
tion.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does
RESOLVE to accept these works of art and expresses, en behalf of
the residents of Palo Alto, our deepest appreciation and gratitude
in recognition of these generous contributions to the City of Palo
Alto.
