RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
ACCEPTING A WORK OF ART FROM RAFFAELLO DVORAK
WHEREAS, the City of Palo Alto has long recognized the impor-
tance of visual art in our community: and
WHEREAS, the City of Palo Al to eslabl ished an Art in Public
Places Program in 19771 and
WHEREAS, the Visual Arts Jury of the City of Palo Al to in
support of the Art in Public Places Program has embarked on a
campaign to seek contributions of art by artists who have either
lived or worked in the City of Palo Alto; and
WHEREAS, contributions to the Art in Public Places Acquisi-
tion Program has resulted in 26 new works of art1 and
WHEREAS, the artist, Raffaello Dvorak, made a contribution of
his work entitled •Flying Shoe• (acrylic on canvas} to the City's
Permanent Collection.
NOW, THEREFORE I the Council of the City of Palo Al to does
RESOLVE to accept this work of art and expresses, on behalf of the
residents of Palo Alto, our deepest appreciation and gratitude in
recognition of this generous contribution to the City of Palo
Alto.
