RESOLUTION UF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY UF PALO ALTO
EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO
ClfY CLERK ANN TANNEK STARK
UPON HEK ~ETIKEMENT
WHEREAS, Citt Clerk Ann Tanner Stark has served the City of Palo
Alto for fifteen and a ha1 f years; fourteen of those years as a
t.ounc1l-A~pointed Officer and City Clerk ot the City of Palo Alto;
and
WHEREAS, City Clerk Ann Tanner Stark was appointed City Clerk in
1Y71 and has worked with ten Mayors, twenty-six Councilmembers,
elected and appointed officials from other agencies, and hundreds of
dedicated City staff; and
WHEREAS, City Clerk Ann Tanner Stark has served the public well
at over 650 City Council and Committee meetings; and
WHEREAS, City Cl erk Ann Tanner Stark pursued her duties as City
Clerk with enthusiasm, thoroughness, and an excellent sense of diplo-
macy; and
WHEREAS, City Clerk Ann Tanner Stark was active as a Director of
the Citt Clerks Association of California, the League of California
Cities City Clerks Department, and as Chair of a committee of the
International Institute of Municipal Clerks; and
WHEREAS, City Clerk Ann Tanner Stark retired on November 15,
198~.
NuW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVEU tnat the Council of the City of
r>alo Alto hereby yratefully records its appreciation and the apprecia-
tion of the citizens of this community for faithful and excellent ser-
vice rendered to the City and extends to City Clerk Ann Tanner Stark
its sincere appreciation and best wishes for a heal thy and prosperot.1s
future.
