RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PALO ALTO ADOPTING A GAS RATE REFUND PLAN
WL;~REA.S, by Advice No. 1310-G, Pacific Gas and Electric
Company, on February 20, 1985, informed the City of Palo Alto that
it would be entitled to a MGas Rate Credit"~ and
WHEREAS, the City of Palo Alto has received the sum
Hundred Eighty-Four Thousand, Eight Hundred Ten
($384,810.00), as a credit on its.July, 19&5, wholesale
from Pacific Gas and Electric Company;

NOW I THEREFORE, the Counci 1 of the city of Palo Al to does
hereby RESOLVE as follows:
SECTION 1. It is hereby found to be in the public interest
to grant a refund of Three Hundred Eighty-Four Thousand, Eight
Hundred Ten Dollars ($384,810.00) to the rate payers of the gas
utility of the City of Palo Alto.
SECTION 2. Refunds as a lump sum payment, showing as a cred-
it on the customers monthly bill shall be made during the
November, 1985, billing cycle. Refunds shall be made as a pro
rata share of each customers gas consumption in rela~ion to the
total gas consumption for the City of Palo Alto for the period
November 1, 1984, through October 31, 1985, which will be the
"Refund Billing Period".
Staff shall implement refunds for present and former custom-
ers of the gas utility as described in the City Manager's Report
accompanying this resolution.
