RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO
LEANDER PHILIP AUBY
UPON HIS RETIREM£NT
WHEREAS, Leander Philip Auby has served the City of Palo Alto
from December 2, 1959 through April 28, 1985, as Firefighter in the
Palo Alto Fire Department; and
WHEREAS, Leander Philip Auby has pursued his duties for safety
of our citizens with enthusiasm, thoroughness, common sense, fairness,
compassion, and courtesy; and
WHEREAS, Leander Philip Auby has taken an
Department programs such as fire suppress-ion,
prevention, and fire administration; and
active part in Fi re
fire training, fire
WHEREAS, through the efforts and contributions of Leander Philip
Auby, the City continues to occupy a position of respect in terms of
emergency services provided to its citizens by the City Fire
De par tmen t; and
WHEREAS, the City of Palo Alto desires to recognize the
meritorious service of Leander Philip Auby.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of
Palo Al to hereby commends the outstanding public service of Leander
Philip Auby and records its appreciation, as well as ~he appreciation
of the citizens of this community~ for the service and contribution
rendered during his 26 years of employment with the City.
