RESOLUTION NO. 6414
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PALO ALTO OF ITS INTENT TO DESIGNATE A CABLE
ACCESS ORGANIZATION FOR CABLE TELEVISION
WHEREAS, the Mid-Peninsula Access Corpo~ation has been incorporat-
ed according to articles and bylaws consistent with providing community
access in connection with cable television; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is engaged in the p~ocess of negotiating
for cable television services in the surrounding community1 and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to indicate its intention to des-
ignate the Mid-Peninsula Access CoYporation to administer capital fa-
cilities and equipment for acc&ss which might be negotiated fo~ use by
the City and the surrounding community;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does RESOLVE
as follows:
The City hereby indicates its intent ion to designate the Mid-
Peninsula Access Corporation as the entity which will administe~ capi-
tal facilities and equipment which may be available to the City fo~ ac-
cess puwposes under any franchise or f ranchi~es for cable television
service which may be negotiated by the City on its own behalf or on the
behalf of other governmental agencies.
