RESOLUTI~ OF THE COUNCIL OF iHE ~ITV OF PALO ALTO
EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO THE 1984-85 PALO ALTO YOUTH COUNCIL
WHEREAS, IRE!ll'lbers of the Palo Alto Youth Council have diligently and unself-
i sh1y contributed thef r t111e and tai en ts toward fostering greater involvement of
youth in city government by studying problems and concerns and by 1mplement1ng
cOR111unfty programs and activities for Palo Al to youth~ and
WHEREAS. Denise Aptekar. Joanna Aptekar, Tim Bailey, Chrfstine Beirne, Leora
Broydo. Tom Cunningtlam, Carolyn Foug, Michael Halpren, Liz Heilman, Jessica
Jerome, Connie Lewis, Steve Marer, Katrien Neukennans, Kara Nyser, David Stewart,
Jacqueline Trager, and Kate Willrich have served on the Palo Alto Youth Council
during the 1984-85 school year; and
WHEREAS, 1985 has been designated by the Un1ted Nations as the International
Year of Youth; and
WHEREAS, it is only fittfng that these outstandfng Palo Alto youth be ri!<:og-
nized for their dedicated cOt1Bunity service.
NOW lHEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Palo Al to
does hereby express f ts app rec 'fa ti on to Denise Aptekar, Joanna Aptekar, Tim
Bailey_, Christine Beirne, Leora Broydo, Tom CUnnfngham, Carolyn Foug, Michael
Halpren, Liz Heflaan, Jessica J~rome, Connie Lew1s, Steve Marer, Katrien
Neukennans 1 Kara Nyser, David Stewart, Jacqueline Trager, and Kat.e Willrich and
co1111end the 1984-85 Palo Alto Youth Council for its outstanding public service.
