THE SUMMARY VACATION OF A PUB1. ~:: SERVI CE EASEMENT FOR

WHEREAS. a portion of a public service easement for the unde1"9round ..aterlfne
described in Exhibit A and shewn on Exhibit B, attached hereto. has been
relocated as a result of construction on the property and, WHEREAS~ as a result
of said relocation of utility facilities, no other public facilities are located
within the said portion of the old easement, the said portion of the old easement
is no longer necessary for public use and will not be necessary fn the future,
and
WHEREAS, it is the intent of the Council of the City of Palo 'lto to vacate thi~
unnecessary portion of the underground waterline easement in the City of Palo
Alto, County of Santa Clara, State of California and,
WHEREAS, from all eYidence stbmitted to the Council of the City of Palo -'lto it
is found that said public service easement as described herein fs not necessary
for pr~sent or pro spec the public use as a public serv fee easement.
NOW, THEREFORE, the council of the City of Palo Alto does RESOLVE as follo"5:
SECTION l. This vacation ~s 11ade under the autoorfty of California Streets and
Highways Code Chapter 4 of Part 3 of D1v1s1on 9 of Calf fornia Code cantnencfng at
§8330 et seq.
SECTION 2. The public service easement to be vacated is 1t10re partfcul arly
descr1bea in Exhibit MA" and sho"lft in Exhibft •911 , Wlfch Exh'fbfts are attached
hereto and incorporated herein.

SECTION 3. The Council finds that this project is categorfcally exempt frOlft the
requirements of the California Qua11ty Control Act and no env1ronnental impact
assessment is necessary.
SECTION 4. The City Clerkt acting through the Mclnager, Real Property, shall
cause a certified copy of this resolution, attested by the City Clerk under sea1,
to be recorded f n the office of the County Recorder of Santa Clara.
SECTION 5. Fram and after the date of recordation of this resolution. safd
easement shall be considered vacaterJ.

Vacation of a Portion of
Water Line Easement
•
A PORTION of that certain water line easement being 6.00 feet in width and
1y1ng over and across that certain property described in a memorandum of J
lease recorded January 1, 1957 in Book 3384 of Official Records at Page 181,
Records of Santa Clara County, California, said portion of said easement
being more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at the most Easterly corner cf that certain 12.063-acre parcel
descr1bed in the herein above said memorandllTI of lease, said Easterly corner
being a point on the Northwesterly line of Page Mill Road (120-feet wide);
thence along said Northwesterly line of Page Mill Road South 33028 13711 West
229.22 feet, to a point of intersection with the center line of the first
herein above described water line easement; thence leaving said Northwesterly
line and along said easement center line North 56031 '25" West 24.00 feet,, to
the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING of this description.
THENCE from said TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING along said easement center line
North 55031 1 3511 West 348.00 feet, to the Northwesterly tenninus of the here-
in described portion of said water line easement and being a line perpen-
dicular to said easement center line extending across said easement for its
full width of 6.00 feet; the Southeasterly terminus of the herein described
being a line perpendicular to said center line of easement extending through
the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING as herein described for the full width of said
easement.
