THE SUMMARY VACATION OF TWO PUBLIC SERVICE EASEMENTS FOR
UTILITIES AND AN EASEMENT FOR PRIVATE ROADWAY PURPOSES
AT 3101 PARK BOULEVARD
WHEREAS, an underground ut111ty ( seter line) was 1 ocated outside a pli>l ic service
easement created far that purpose, and a new easen1ent ref1 ecti ng the correct 1 ocation
of the se•r line has been recorded; and
WHEREAS. a pole line anchor has been relocated and a 7 1 x 5 1 portion of the anchor
easement for the pole line anchor 1s not utflftfzed and will not be required by the
City in the future; and,
WHEREAS, an easement for private roadway purposes has not been ut111 zed by the Cf ty
wfthfn the last fi~e years and will not be required by the City in the future.
WHEREAS. 1t 1s the intent of the Council of the City of Palo Alto to vacate 1) the
public service easement for underground util ft1es (created by doctnent recorded f n
Book El70, Page 93); 2) the 7' x 5' portion of a pole lfne anchor ea-sement (created
by doclllent recorded in Book El70, Page 93); and 3) the ease11ent for private roadway
purposes (created by doc I.Pent recorded in Book 3578, Page 56) in the Cf ty of Palo
Alto, County of Santa Clara. State of California and,
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Palo Al to intends to vacate si.ch pl.t>l 1c services
easements and roa<hey easement according t.o the procedures set forth f n Cal 1 fornia
Street5 ;a.nd_ Highways Code Division 9. Part 3, Chapter 4 (Section 18330 et seq.);
and,
WHEREAS, from al 1 ev1deACe s'°"itted to the Council of the City of Palo Al to it fs
found that said public service easettent and access ease11ent as described herein are
not necessary for present or prospective ptmlic use as p001fc service easements or
for private roadway purposes;

NOW, TiiEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does RESOLVE as follo\1115:
SECTION l. This vacation fs made under the authority of californfa Streets and
R'fghways COde Chapter 4 of Part 3 of Division 9 of California Code canmenc1ng at
§8330 et seq.
SECTION 2. The tr«> pthlfc serv fee easements and the easement for private roadway
purposes -to be vacated are more partfcul arly described in Exhibit "A'' as shown in
Exhibit •s•, which Exhibits are attached hereto and incorporated herein.
SECTION 3. The Council ff nds that this project is categorically eJ.enpt frOlll the
requirements of the Cal ifornfa Quality Control "ct and no env1romtental impact
assessment is necessary.
SECTION 4. The City Cl erk, acting through the Manager, Real Property, shall cause
certified copy of tMs resclut1on, attested by the City Clerk under seal, to be
recorded in the office of the County Recorder of Santa Clara.
SECTION 5. FrORI and after the date of recordation of this resolution, safd easeme
sllall be considered ~acated.

That certain 10 foot wide public utilities easement granted to the City of
Palo Alto by deed recorded December 18. 1978, in Book El70, Page 93 Records
of Santa Clara County, Cal ffornia, excepting that portion thereof lying
within the boundaries of that certain PUE granted to the City of Palo Alto
by deed recorded in Volume 1180 of Official Records at Pages 18£ through
189, Records of said County on December 23, 1983.
Easement B
The northeasterly 7 feet of that certain 5 foot by 29 foot anchor easement
granted to the City of Palo Alto by deed recorded December 18. 1978. in
book El70, Page 93, Records of Santa Clara County, California.
Easement C
That certain 15 foot wide access easement granted to the City of Palo Alto
by deed recorded August 14, 1956, in Book 3578, Page 56 Records of Santa
Clara County. california.
