RESOLUTION NO. 6 3 7 2
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THS CITY OF PALO ALTO
APPROVING THE FINAL ORAFT OF THE 1984 REVISION OF THE
SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT PLAN FOR SANTA CLARA COUNTY'
WHEREAS, the City Council has previously concurred in the princi-
ples and objectives of the Solid waste Mana9ement Plan for Santa Clara
County1 and,
WHEREAS, the Solid Waste Planning Committee for Santa Clara
County has requested that this city consider amending the Plan to in-
clude the Final Draft of the 1984 Revision of the Solid Waste Manage-
ment Plan for Santa Clara County; and,
WHEREAS, the Board of Sui,')ervisors of the County of Santa Clara
has heretofore ado~ted a Negative Declaration under the California En-
vironmental Qunlity Act (CEQA) in connection with said proposed Revi-
s ion;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does RESOLVE
as follows:
A. The Council hereby finds and determines:
1. The City of Palo Alto as a responsible agency
considered the envi:!'onmental effects of the
proposed Revision ag shown in the Negative
Declaration.
2. The 1984 Revision, an amendment to the Solid
waste Management Plan for Santa Clara County,
is approved.
3. Concurrence in tl..:: principles and objectives
of the said ~lan is reaffirmed.
4. The City Clerk is directed to forward a
certified copy of this Resolution to the Solid
Waste Planning Committee for Santa Clara
County, c/o Jane Decker, Director of County
Relations, 70 West Hedding Street, San Jose,
CA 95110.
PASSED ANO ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Palo Alto at a
regular meeting held on the 22nd day of April, 1985, by the following
vote:
