RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO
JOAN HANCOCK
FOR OUTSTANDING PUBLIC SERVICE AS .A. MEMBER CF THE
VISUAL r\RTS JURY
WHEREAS,
of the Visual
and
Joan Hancock served the City of Palo Al to as a member
Arts Jury from February 1, 1981 to January 31, 1985;
WHEREAS, Joan Hancock has given unselfishly of her time aild
talents in support of the C1ty of Palo Alto Art In Public Places
Pro g ram ; an d
WHEREAS, Joan Hancock has made a significant personal contri-
bution to the community through her dfl igent and conscientious efforts
whfl e serving as a member of the Vf sual Arts Jury; and
WHEREAS, the Visual Arts Jury, during Joan Hancock's service
produced an Outdoor Sculpture Exhibition, purchased three sculptures,
and hosted an area-wide seminar on Arts in Public Places; and
WHEREAS, the City of Palo Alto desires to recognize the service
of Joan Hancock.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of
Palo Alto hereby gratefully records its appreciation, as well as the
appreciation of the citizens of this community, for the outstanding
p ubl k service rendered by Jo an Hancock •
