RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
HONORING LAWRENCE A. KLEIN
WHEREAS, Lawrence A. Klein has served as Mayor of Palo Aito for
one and three/fifty-seconds terms; and
WHEREAS, Lawrence A. Klein Ma1ntafned ad111rable equanfmft1 while
presiding over 48 Monday eventng Council sessions, 111ny of whfch
lasted past 9:30 P·•· or eve~ 9:45 P·•· at nfght; and
WHEREAS, Lawrence A. Klein throughout his term made many
thoughtful appointments to City co••ittees; and
WHEREAS, during his ter•, the City of Palo Alto aade significant
strides to •ai ntafn fts quality of 1 ffe in the face of increasing
demands •nd pressuresi and
WHEREAS, Lawrence A. Kl etn cul11tnated hf s service as Mayor by
presiding over a flawlessly planned Super Bowl, at which that tea•
supported by the •ajor1ty of his constituents en1erged v1ccor1ous.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that his colleagues on the Cf ty
Council do hereby honor Lawrence A-klefn and co.nvey to hfn1 thefr
appreciation for his •any services to the C1ty of Palo Alto.
