RESOLUTION NO. 6145 RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF~T~H~E,,_,C--I~T~Y OF PALO ALTO
CHANGING THE NAME OF WILLOW ROAD TO SANO HILL ROAD
WHEREAS, a portion of the present Willow Road west of El Camino
Real in Palo Alto is named Sand Hill Road after it intersects San
Francisquito Creek and enters the County of San Mateo; and
WHEREAS, the Council had conditionally approved a project which
would extend Willow Road from Arboretum Road to El Camino Real~ and
WHEREAS, it is sensible to have a single name for a street that
traverses more than one jurisdiction: and
WHEREAS, the Council wishes to have the street named Sand Hill
Road for that portion within the City liaits between San Francisquito
Creek and El Camino Real.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does RESOLVE
as follows:
SECTION 1.
presently known
Mateo County at
Sand Hill Road.
Effective July 1, 1985, that portion of the street
as Willow Road in Palo Alto between the border of San
San Francisquito Creek and Arboretum Road is renamed
SECTION 2. At the time of its completion, the extension of the
street from Arboretum Road to El Cami~o Real shall be named Sand Hill
Road.
SECTION 3. The Council hereby finds that this resolution is not
subject to the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act
under 14 California Administrative Code 1506l(b)(3).
